MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA:
There is something remarkable when you meet up with familiar faces from so far away... faces and stories and streets that remind you of a time and an energy that really had an impact on your life. Today I arrived in Melbourne, picked up at the airport by some of the women organizers for Ladyfest Melbourne from my last visit here. First thing we did was shop for food, cook together and swap stories for hours. I've got a packed weekend, 2 nights of poetry followed by a relationship workshop on Monday. Everything is good. My heart is full and alive and welcomed by the beauty of new friends.
BACK TRACK (SYDNEY):
Remind me to tell you the hilarious airport karma-payback story... I won't embarrass the lovely Ms. Intents for mixing up her days and thinking I was coming on Friday, instead of Thursday. HA HA !! It was customs where I really got hassled... but that's a whole other story that I won't bore you with. I'm having a blast, so that's all that matters. I'm so wound up and spaced out that I actually turned on the blender without the lid on securely and trashed Karla & Jen's kitchen with cashews--they'll be finding cashews in strange places for the next several years! (I was trying to make them vegan chocolate mousse). I'm certain that they'll forgive me once they get a bite of dessert!
Love you all, I really, really, really mean it!! keep ya posted when I can...
